TREE SURGERY

Bath Recreation Trading Ltd is the business arm of Bath Recreation Limited, a charity that provides property for use as recreational facilities for the benefit of the public.

Bath Recreation Trading Ltd maintains grounds and recreational spaces in and around Bath, including football, rugby and cricket grounds and has recently acquired Samler Landscapes which specialises in tree surgery and tree maintenance.

Tree Surgeon and Grounds Maintenance

Ideally you will have the following qualifications to join our team (however there is some flexibility and training is provided):

• City & Guilds NPTC Level 2, Chainsaw Maintenance and Cross Cutting
• City & Guilds NPTC Level 2, Felling and Processing Trees up to 380mm
• City & Guilds NPTC Level 2, Tree Climbing and Rescue
• City & Guilds NPTC Level 3, Aerial Cutting of Trees with a Chainsaw Using Free-fall Techniques
• Have a full UK driving licence
• Two years relevant arboricultural experience
• High standard of both safety and quality

Day to day management of work sites carrying out a variety of arboriculture tasks:

 • LOLER and PUWER checks

• Conduct site specific Risk Assessments
• Mentoring and developing apprentices and second climbers.

Also:

• Be highly motivated and willing to work as part of a team and take pride in your work
• Maintaining face-to-face customer and public relations
• Work to a high standard
• Training will be provided to develop your skill set
• Helping with work schedules
• All PPE and climbing equipment provided

£30k - £40k depending on experience, self-employed or full-time permanent employee, paid holiday entitlement of 28 days inclusive of the public/bank holidays, pension contribution and fully insured. Please Email grounds@bathrec.co.uk with your qualifications and references.
