There is a designated car park capable of holding approximately 110 cars. There is also a Cricket Pavilion that houses a small kitchen and communal area, plus two changing rooms with showers and toilets. For large events, it will be necessary for the user to bring in additional facilities, for example toilets, catering etc.
There is access for larger vehicles from North Parade via Bath Sports and Leisure Centre. There is also an entrance for small to medium sized vehicles from William Street, off Pulteney Street. Vehicles on the outfield are restricted for set up requirements only and ground conditions affected by weather may have an impact on any booking. It is advisable for any large event that suitable tracking is laid in order to limit rutting to the ground.
There is a designated car park capable of holding approximately 110 cars. If necessary, it may sometimes be possible to negotiate further parking with the other facilities surrounding the Recreation Ground.
Our standard Terms and Conditions can be found at: Bath Recreation Limited Terms and Conditions. Additional Terms and Conditions may be introduced, however, for some large events, depending on use of the Ground and facilities. Users are expected to return the site and its facilities in the condition that they receive them in. This includes tidying up in the Cricket Pavilion. Organisers should be cautious when using vehicles on the ground, especially in wet weather as this can cause bad rutting which will need reinstating, with the cost borne by the event organiser. A reasonable deposit will be levied for payment prior to any event with refund following assessment of any damages.
For large events, organisers will be asked to supply their event management plan and evidence of Public Liability insurance cover, for a minimum of £5 million. A Land Hire Agreement will also be issued for large events.
You will find help and advice about writing an Event Management Plan and getting the necessary permissions and licences in place on the B&NES Council website here.

Drone use is prohibited unless specific permission is granted from Bath Recreation Limited. CAA regulations state that drones should not be flown above or near to people. Bath Recreation Ground and Glasshouse Playing Field are surrounded by residents and used by members of the public, thereby, unauthorised drone flying can put people at risk and can present public nuisance.
